THE TRADITIONAL KOREAN FOOD

Balancing the body's energy.
Korean food is slow food. It is infused with the value of slow, deliberate care. Korean food also reflects the philosophy of eumyang ohaeng (yin, yang and the Five Elements). It achieves harmony among the five colors of nature (blue, yellow, red, white and black) and the basic five flavors (sweet, sour, salty, spicy and bitter), and bring pleasures to the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch). Koreans always believed that food and medicine share the same root.
